Iowa City, Chi-Town with Fareed, Madison…

Tonight (Thursday) we brave the winter weather to spend the evening in our favorite small town in Iowa — Iowa City. We play at the Iowa City Yacht Club, and the evening will begin with local band New Beat City followed by CAbP. The venue is downstairs and cozy — a great vibe for a Thursday night. Friday takes us back home for a double bill with theFareed Haque Group at Martyrs’ Live on Lincoln Avenue. Expect four total sets of music between the two groups and plenty of “sitting in.” Saturday we wind up the weekend back north in Madison at the High Noon Saloon. Last time felt really good there, and we’re expecting to take it even higher Saturday. See you there.

Peace,

CAbP

We’re Michigan bound… with or without the snow

We’re braving the snow for a visit to three Michigan towns this weeked. We stop off first Thursday night in St. Joe’s at Czar’s for our first time at what we hear is a tremendously friendly venue. Looking forward to bringing our sounds to some new ears.

Friday takes us back to our favorite brewery in Kalamazoo — Bells. Look for some new faces as we’re bringing some new friends Segun and and Shawn to play percussion and kit for some new tunes.

Saturday night marks our return to Founders Brewery in Grand Rapids. Last time there we converted quite a crew. If you were there, come back with friends!

Thank You for Success in Champaign, St. Louis and Carbondale

We’d like to thank each and every one of you for packing the clubs in Champaign, St. Louis and Carbondale this past weekend. We loved the energy of the crowds and owe much to you for making those rooms as packed as they were. We will be back to those towns in a few months, so keep your eyes on our Web site for the specifics. We are taking this weekend off to work on some new material and will be back at The Note for a First Beat show on February 4. Come join us for some late-night grooves from 2-5 a.m.
