CAbP to Donate Percentage of CD Sales to Journalists Against AIDS Nigeria

We in CAbP feel it’s important to give back to the community in which the source of our music began. As such, we will be donating a percentage of all CD sales of our new album to Journalists Against AIDS Nigeria (JAAIDS), a non-profit group based in Lagos, Nigeria that develops innovative communication programs to help battle AIDS in Nigeria.

In addition to donating a percentage of CD proceeds, we will also be donating a percentage of the proceeds from our CD Release Celebration on November 12, 2005. We are hopeful that a representative from JAAIDS can speak a bit about the organization, but we are still working on the logistics. We’ll keep you posted.

CAbP to debut at Chicago’s Green Dolphin Street

On Saturday, March 18, Chicago Afrobeat Project will perform at one of Chicago’s hottest jazz clubs, Green Dolphin Street.

Located at Ashland and Webster, the Green Dolphin is a staple in the jazz scene, bringing talent from the world over to a monstrous stage in a comfortable, upscale room.

If you have an entire evening to spare, the food at Green Dolphin is worth a visit. There’s also plenty of room to dance.

We’re lookin’ forward to this one with plenty of good friends sitting in like Sly on bass, TJ on talking drum and more. See ya’ll there!
