The Rocky Mountain Tour ’06 has taken us to four new towns over the last week as well as a return visit to one of our favorite towns, Lawrence, Kansas. Just four more shows to go on the tour, though we’re having such a good time that we wish we had 30!

So far we’ve recruited some new fans in the organically friendly town of Boulder, Colorado (a big change of pace for us urban Chi-town boys). At stops in Winter Park, Des Moines and Steamboat Springs, we’ve been digging the new crowds and showcasing some new CAbP material.

Tonight takes us to Dillon, Colorado for a gig at Dillon Dam Brewery near Keystone and A-Basin ski resorts. Some of us will catch a few runs at keystone on Friday, so look for us if you’re on the mountain if you’re in the area.

Friday evening takes us to our first Wyoming gig at a local bar called Buckhorn in Laramie known more for its fast-picking bluegrass than its heavy-hitting afrobeat. We’re thinking our funky change of pace will heat things up for a crowd that loves to dance.

Saturday night takes us down out of the mountains back into Denver for a gig at Dulcinea’s Hundreth Monkey. We expect to see some of our new friends from last Monday’s Boulder show.

We round out the tour with an inaugural stop Sunday evening in Omaha, Nebraska at Benson’s Pizzeria & Pub. We’ll see all you Cornhuskers fans at the show!
